It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our joint founder, John Fifield FRICS who sadly passed away on 21 January 2025 following a short stay in hospital.
John Fifield was the joint founder of the Osborne House Group in 1983 with Patrick Holme. They established the very successful Gadbrook Park in Cheshire in 1984 together with other property projects across England and Wales.
In addition to Osborne House Group, John established Fifield Glyn in Manchester in 1975 with his late wife, Ros. He was a very well respected Chartered Surveyor who had practised for almost 60 years, specialising in commercial property, expert witness and third party disputes.
He was Chairman of the Greater Manchester Branch of RICS in 1990 and President of the Manchester Society of Land Agents & Surveyors in 2001. He was also a strong supporter and mentor for the Prince’s Trust for many years.
John’s legacy will continue at both Osborne House Group and Fifield Glyn. He will be greatly missed, especially by his 3 children; Edward Fifield who is Managing Director of both Osborne House Group and Fifield Glyn, Charles Fifield who is their Company Secretary and Victoria Mead who works closely with both companies.
John had requested no flowers but any donations please to St Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice, Winsford, Cheshire.
